Shown here are various posters for events that did not occur and were never planned. Also included are posters that were not legitmately produced and are unauthorized. For poster collectors, it is important to know that these are indeed fake posters, or at least posters that were not professionally created. Most of these are very comical, and are basically viewed as "what if?" dream shows. If you have anything not shown here or any information you want to share, please let us know.

SOME NOTES:
† These handbills/pole posters were used during the filming of the movie "Singles", directed by Cameron Crowe. Citizen Dick is a fictitious band from that movie whose members were composed of vocalist Matt Dillion, guitarist Stone Gossard, bassist Jeff Ament, and drummer Eddie Vedder. You can see them putting these up in the movie. "Inspector Luv" and "Sweetwater" were real Seattle bands, and "Mang" was a band name that Pearl Jam almost called themselves (they instead went with Mookie Blaylock).
†† This hoax handbill was plastered all over Seattle, which reportably caused phone lines to shut down from everyone calling Ticketmaster for tickets. There are conflicting reports that the band Bugdozer was or was not responsible for putting them up.
††† This poster is probably an excellent example of the damages of drug use. =)
¥ This flyer has a very interesting backstory. It was spread all over Seattle in April 1998, announcing a concert for Mookie Blaylock (the pre-Pearl Jam band name). Well, unfortunately, this turned out to be a hoax. By coincidence or not, the location of the supposed show was at the set of MTV's "The Real World" (which was shot at Pier 70 that season). An inside source (click for the further story on
Five Horizons) indicated that the flyers were put up by the "The Real World" production personnel (Bunim-Murray Productions) for use as a potential storyline. A few days later, they denied it through this statement. Whomever is to blame, all we know for a fact is that the show was a practical joke.
