Handbills and fliers are usually thought of as small (generally 8-1/2" x 11" or smaller) miniature posters, and almost all exist as simple Xerox copies and having thin paperstock. These were basically used as a cheap form of advertising, often handed out or stapled to telephone poles. They were especially prevalent in the early days of Pearl Jam, to give the band recognition and notice. These can be very easily confused with pole promotional posters, with the main difference being size and paperstock (pole posters are often bigger and thicker). In this section, we are attempting to archive all known Pearl Jam handbills and fliers (including Mookie Blaylock handbills). Handbills for former bands that existed before Pearl Jam can be found in the vintage section. Most of the gasmask posters also exist in handbill form, as well as some of the show event posters (i.e. the Locchi Rome '96 poster also was made as a 4"x4" handbill). If you have a handbill not shown here or any information you want to share, please let us know.
