What this means is that the site and all of its features will be inaccessible for at least a short period of time. I think realistically the down-time will be about two weeks. When the site comes back, it will at first be very "vanilla", and I will slowly add all the features back in. I want to focus on one thing at a time and do this right. This probably will be like a six-month project to get everything back in order.
The past few years I have had to travel quite a bit and it kills my free time, that has changed for the most part since I have relocated to DC. I wanted to also thank evan and rival especially for helping with the site in the past couple of years. If it wasn't for them, there is a chance that this site may have been permanently shut down.
Anyway thanks for sticking around. I have to admit that I am nowhere as big a Pearl Jam fan as I once was, and I think that is the biggest problem with this site and my interest in it. I would be lying if I said that I didn't think about announcing that I need to close the site or move it to someone else, especially in the past few years. But there is a lot of good people here and a lot of memories, and I love coding and statistical things, so after careful consideration, I decided that I don't want to close the doors for good. So this upgrade is an effort to regain some relevance and to make coming here "fun" again.
